The Agriturist is the first Italian farm holidays association, promoted by Confagricoltura, that coordinates and supports the development of the farm holidays since 1965.
The word “agriturismo” (farm holidays) was born toghether with to the name of the Association, and constituent of the age (in particular the founding president Simone Velluti Zati) has made of the phenomenon taking cue above all from French and British promoters experiences.

Currently Agriturist associates approximately 5.000 agricultural companies that they carry out or they mean to carry out “agrituristica” activity, assisting them under the normative, organizational and promotional profile.

An informative on-line system diffuses in real time news and modernizations on the main aspects of the activity management. The promotional channels more important are: the national Guide, the Guide for the foreign country (available in three languages), “Landurlaub in Italien”, guide in German language, the web site www.agriturist.it, and the agency of reservation “Farm Holidays”.

Other promotional initiatives are activated according to specific plans.

The Agriturist associates also 12,000 passionate of farm holidays, to which it distributes “Agrituristi”: the national Guide.

From readers, the Association systematically receives judgments on the quality of the visited companies, having therefore precious information in order to improve the offer.
